World Bank World Development Indicators, GDP (current US$), updated 8 October 2026. Fixed cohort of the ten largest economies in 2025, followed from 1992; 340 annual observations. Current-dollar figures reflect inflation and exchange rates, not purchasing power or GDP per person. India reports April–March fiscal years; 2025 refers to April 2025–March 2026. Data can include estimates and are subject to revision. Transitions between annual observations are interpolated. The countries are the United States, China, Germany, Japan, United Kingdom, India, France, Russia, Italy and Canada: a fixed 2025 cohort, not an annually changing top ten. The US–China ratio is 15.2 in 1992 and 1.58 in 2025. China overtook Japan in annual figures in 2010; Germany overtook Japan in 2023. The animation interpolates and does not date crossings to a particular day.
