- Eurostat · tour_occ_ninat, I55.1–I55.3: hotels, holiday/short-stay accommodation and campsites. Residence, not nationality; nights, not arrivals or unique people. Excludes non-rented stays; national coverage and thresholds differ. Six selected destinations, not an EU-wide ranking. Greece 2012 and France 2020–2021 are estimates; Portugal has a break in 2013. Nights divided once by 1,000,000, not summed across years. Movement between years is visual interpolation; no causal inference. Snapshot retrieved 17 Oct 2026.
